Inside there’s a lab tested and certified 8000kg, 9 metre nylon snatch strap.  Nylon is used for it’s strength and stretch properties – it’s able to stretch up to 20% of its length to avoid sudden jerking and damage during recoveries.

There are also two Hercules Bow Shackles. These have a working load limit of 4.75 tonnes and are engineered with ¾ inch steel. You’ll use them for almost every recovery.

Plus you’ve got a 10,000kg rated tree trunk protector – this is a necessity if you’re using a tree to winch off. Wrap it around the base of the tree to protect the bark and spread the load.

There’s also a winch extension strap rated to 5000kg – this is what you need for winch recoveries where there are no suitable winching points within reach of your winch rope. With this you’ve got 20 metres of extra reach!

You’ll also get a snatch block that can double your winch’s pulling power – thread your winch rope over the pulley and back to your vehicle to halve the load on your winch!

Finally – how good is this – the recovery kit bag doubles as a winch dampener! As a bag it’s easier to carry so you’ve got a hand free to climb through the scrub. It also means you can use the internal pockets to add extra weight for a safer recovery. Plus it’s easier to wash, just hose it off and it’s dry in ten minutes.
