Here\u2019s our list of six essential things everyone should know when they buy their first portable generator<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. BIGGER IS ALMOST ALWAYS BETTER<\/strong>

            1. ADD A BATTERY CHARGER FOR THE ULTIMATE IN 12V POWER PRODUCTION<\/strong>
              If you run a big battery bank in your               4WD<\/a><\/strong>, caravan<\/strong> <\/a>or camper trailer<\/a><\/strong>, then adding a 240v charger<\/a><\/strong> from your local auto parts store will let you crank serious power into your batteries, seriously quickly. The bigger the charger\u2019s capacity, the faster the batteries will recharge and the less time you\u2019ll need to run your generator. Most typical power setups will drain about 40-50A in any given 24 hour period, so assuming you didn\u2019t have solar panels topping your batteries up, two hours with a decent 12v battery charger<\/a><\/strong> would have your battery bank completely full again. Free camp for as long as you like!<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              Bonus Tip:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

              The next trip you plan during summer, make sure you add to your packing list a 240v cord for your fridge to run off. To save our secondary batteries, we often run all of our fridges at camp off a portable generator<\/a> <\/strong>through a power board and a couple of extension cords. It\u2019s genius because this way, you\u2019re not using your battery power at all and the fridges can run safely off the Adventure Kings Portable Camping Generator<\/a> <\/strong>hassle free, all day long.
