Let\u2019s take a look at each of the seven different camping awnings<\/a><\/strong> on offer, to help you decide which one is best for you. We\u2019ll start in order of smallest, and then make our way to biggest!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Kings 2.0m x 1.4m Rear Awning<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The baby of our 4WD awning<\/a><\/strong> range, this beaut little awning measures 1.4 metres along the vehicle and extends 2.0m metres out when it\u2019s setup. That makes it the perfect size 4×4 awning<\/a> <\/strong>for fitting to the rear of your vehicle for rear-mounted shelter! Many campers, 4WDers and tradies fit it to open over the back of their wagon, whether that has open-up barn doors like you see on Nissan Patrols, and single swing-out doors on Prados and Pajeros, but it also works on those with lift-up tailgates like Cruisers. We\u2019ve even see a lot of them mounted to the rear of a ute canopy, or even to the headboard of a ute tray extending over the tray.       Next up is your 2.0m x 2.5m Side Awning<\/a><\/strong>, which as the name suggests extends two metres down the vehicle, and 2.5 metres out from the vehicle. This is very popular with SUV owners as it fits the smaller dimensions of SUVs such as Rav4s and Klugers, CX5s, Outbacks and the like. It gives you a solid amount of shelter when setup, without over-hanging the front or rear pillars of your car when packed away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Kings 2.5m x 2.5m Side Awning<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Now we step up to this beaut camping side awning<\/a><\/strong>, which is square shaped and measures 2.5 metres down the side of the vehicle by 2.5 metres out when it\u2019s setup. This size is most popular with full-sized wagon owners such as Patrols, Cruisers, Prados and Pajeros. The square size offers an excellent amount of shelter underneath and it looks great, running most of the length down the side of the vehicle from the A pillar to the D pillar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Kings 2.0m x 3.0m Side Awning<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          Dual cab ute owners listen up, because this is the pull out side awning for camping<\/a><\/strong> that you\u2019ve been looking for! This size is perfect for dual cab utes because it allows you to mount it to a shorter roofrack that runs the length of your vehicle cabin, without over-hanging out the front towards your bonnet or rearwards towards your canopy or ute tray, unsupported. It measures two metres alogn the vehicle and three metres out, and is so close in square metres to the shelter that the 2.5m x 2.5m awning offers that it\u2019s practically identical in reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            Now we\u2019re stepping up to the big time shelters! From the very front of the awning it extends back on a 45\u00b0 angle, and gives a total of 11 square metres of protected shelter. It\u2019s important to note that due to the design, this will only suit vehicles where the rear of the awning (where the pivoting bracket is), can be supported directly by one of the brackets.
