{"id":4655,"date":"2018-10-18T11:00:02","date_gmt":"2018-10-18T00:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.4wdsupacentre.com.au\/news\/?p=4655"},"modified":"2018-10-16T10:14:36","modified_gmt":"2018-10-15T23:14:36","slug":"5-minute-tasty-trackside-meals-eat-well-in-the-bush-this-spring","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.emgcloud.net\/news\/5-minute-tasty-trackside-meals-eat-well-in-the-bush-this-spring\/","title":{"rendered":"5 MINUTE TASTY TRACKSIDE MEALS \u2013 Eat well in the bush this spring!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s easy enough to cook everyone up sausage sandwiches when you are on the tracks, but have you ever considered ramping up the inner master Chef and cooking up delicious meals on the tracks that are the envy of all the campsites around!<\/p>\n<p>Here are our favorite snacks on the track, but don\u2019t be afraid to try these recipes out at home and dial in your technique before hitting the tracks, that way you\u2019ll know just how much to talk up how good your meal is going to be to all of your camping buddies!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Beer marinated steak<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Beer marinated steak is great for adding flavor to cheaper cuts of meat, whilst it works great with beef, you can also try with chicken or even pork if you wanted to make dinner and lunch on the tracks.<br \/>\n<strong>Prep time: <\/strong>5 Minutes<strong><br \/>\nDifficulty: <\/strong>EASY<strong><br \/>\nIngredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>150-200g per person of your favorite cut of meat.<\/li>\n<li>Steak seasoning (or salt and pepper and other spices you might light &#8211; to taste).<\/li>\n<li>1 can\/bottle of the tastiest beer you have in your <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.4wdsupacentre.com.au\/products\/fridges-coolers.html\">Adventure Kings Fridge Freezer<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Any sides you may want to add!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tools<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.4wdsupacentre.com.au\/products\/cooking-gear\/adventure-kings-bbq-tool-set.html\">Adventure BBQ tools<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Hot, oiled cooking surface<strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.4wdsupacentre.com.au\/products\/cooking-gear\/camp-fire-bbq.html\">BBQ Hotplate<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.4wdsupacentre.com.au\/products\/cooking-gear\/voyager-bbq.html\">Voyager BBQ<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.4wdsupacentre.com.au\/products\/cooking-gear\/cast-iron-skillet-pan.html\">Skillet pan<\/a> <\/strong>or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.4wdsupacentre.com.au\/products\/cooking-gear\/bedourie-camp-oven-12-spun-steel-oven-frying-pan-hanging-pan-boiling-pot.html\">Bedourie camp oven lid<\/a>) <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>A Plate<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Plastic bag large enough for meat (with no holes, eg, a freezer bag)<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.4wdsupacentre.com.au\/products\/fridges-coolers.html\">Adventure Kings Fridge Freezer, or ice box<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Steps<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Take your cut of meat and lay it out on a plate or even on the tray it came on, and sprinkle with seasoning, use more than you think you will need as it will permeate the meat and spread flavor throughout.<\/li>\n<li>Place all of your meat in plastic bag, and crack open an icy cold beer from your <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.4wdsupacentre.com.au\/products\/fridges-coolers.html\">Adventure Kings Fridge\/Freezer<\/a><\/strong>, and pour it inside the bag<\/li>\n<li>Seal the bag with a tight knot and place inside your Adventure Kings Fridge freezer for at least half an hour \u2013 with marinating, the rule is, the longer the better, so preparation in the morning will add more flavor to the meat<\/li>\n<li>When you have your cooking hotplate nice and hot, chuck your meat on, and heat till it\u2019s cooked to perfection.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[embedyt] https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Wrao4xe3GiM[\/embedyt]<strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>An Aussie cooked breakfast! Don\u2019t forget to flip your bacon and hash browns to cook evenly!<\/li>\n<li>If you are going to cook up some mushies, they should go on last.
