Roof Racks!<\/p>\n

Starting from the very beginning you are going to need a solid roof rack<\/strong><\/a> like the 4×4 roof racks<\/strong><\/a> you can get at 4WD Supacentre, something like the roof top tent rack <\/strong><\/a>or a steel flat rack<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If your vehicle isn\u2019t listed on the website you can fit one of these solid roof racks<\/strong><\/a> to your sports rails or existing roof racks (according to your manufacturers advised weight recommendations) using a set of rated steel U-bolts.<\/p>\n

This process is really easy and allows you to fit all of your other favourite Adventure Kings accessories like 4×4 awning<\/strong>s and other camping and 4WDing accessories like an led light bar <\/strong>or camp lighting.<\/p>\n

Once your roof racks <\/strong><\/a>are fitted, you can start installing your roof top tent Kwiky<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mounting your tent!<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nFirstly get a friend to help you lift the rooftop tent<\/strong><\/a> onto the roof rack<\/strong> <\/a>of your vehicle, this is short work, but you should still thank them with a refreshing beverage from your Adventure Kings<\/strong> fridge\/freezer. <\/strong><\/a>We keep ours plugged in like a bar fridge, in the shed.<\/p>\n

To install your new hard-shelled roof top tent<\/strong><\/a> start by taking the 4 included metal plates with square holes and fit 2 bolts into each, ready to slide into the channels on the base of the tent.<\/p>\n

With help from your mate, lift the end of your roof top tent<\/strong> <\/a>and slide 2 of the plates fitted with bolts into each rail and position the fasteners in place.<\/p>\n

Make sure the fasteners are on either side of one of the solid steel crossbars on the steel roof rack for maximum holding strength.<\/p>\n

Put the lower plate into position (with both bolts on corresponding plates matching up) and fasten the nuts using the included 13mm spanner.<\/p>\n

Repeat these steps on all four mounts and the job is done, feel free to celebrate with your mate, and quench a hard-earned thirst with a refreshing drink of your choice, this time it\u2019s his shout!<\/p>\n

Pro Tip:<\/strong> Don\u2019t forget to double check all the fasteners are tight after your first drive, and again after another week, to make sure you don\u2019t lose your rooftop tent<\/strong><\/a> or damage your steel roof rack<\/strong>!<\/a><\/p>\n

Setting up
\n<\/strong>
\nNow with your roof top tent<\/strong><\/a> fitted, all that\u2019s left to do is fit some bedding and then hit the tracks.<\/p>\n

To open your Kings<\/strong> roof top tent<\/strong> <\/a>up simply loosen the two buckles on either end and push the roof top tent <\/strong><\/a>lid up. Once you have started the upwards motion the internal gas struts will take over the job.<\/p>\n

Pro Tip:<\/strong> The canvas is very weatherproof and can create a vacuum when opened. So you may have to unzip the door to allow air into the rooftop tent<\/strong><\/a>, and break the vacuum created inside for it to fully extend.<\/p>\n

Remove the telescopic roof top tent<\/strong> <\/a>ladder from its storage bag, and release the velcro keeper strap, and extend all the sections carefully making sure each spring-loaded latch locks itself into place.<\/p>\n

Attach the ladder to your tent and climb on in!<\/p>\n

Packing up

\nTo store the tent away simply fold up the ladder, pack it away in its storage pouch, and chuck it into the roof top tent<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Grab a hold of the compression strap and pull down using your body weight for extra leverage. Once the roof top tent<\/strong> <\/a>has been compressed, loosely buckle one end of the roof top tent<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Repeat this for the other end, and fasten all the straps down tight ensuring the ABS plastic shell nests neatly over the base for a weatherproof seal.<\/p>\n
