There’s nothing better in an Australian summer than camping at the beach, and the best way to enjoy a great night’s sleep is with the Adventure Kings Big Daddy Double Swag. I’ve spent plenty of nights listening to the sound of the waves on the sand in my Adventure Kings Big Daddy Double Swag, and I’m going to share a few tips with you to make the most of this great Australian tradition.

Make a windbreak

The best place to set up your Adventure Kings Big Daddy Double Swag at the beach, is with something between you and the wind. If you’re on the main part of the beach, park your 4WD side on to the breeze, and unroll your swag in the lee side, so the 4WD stops the wind hitting your Adventure Kings Big Daddy Double Swag.

If you’re camped in the dunes, you can do the same thing, your 4WD makes a perfect windbreak in this situation too.

The other option is to set up an Adventure Kings Awning Wall off your Adventure Kings Awning, and this will keep your Adventure Kings Big Daddy Double Swag protected from the wind, even if it changes direction during the night.

Keep the sand out of your swag

The best way I’ve found to keep the sand out of my Adventure Kings Big Daddy Double Swag is using a Kings Mesh Floor, and roll out your swag on top of it. I took mine to Stradbroke Island, and my Adventure Kings Big Daddy Double Swag had almost no sand in it, even after 5 nights camped on the beach!

The sand falls through the Kings mesh floor, meaning you’ve got a sand free space around your swag, where you can brush the sand off your feet before getting into bed.

Also, if you swap out your quilts and sheets for an Adventure Kings Sleeping Bag, you can zip it up in the morning, and unzip it at night, meaning any sand that might sneak into your Adventure Kings Big Daddy Double Swag during the day, doesn’t make it inside your bed. Less sand in your bed makes for a better nights sleep!

Flat ground and a comfortable mattress

Just like no-one wants to sleep on a lumpy mattress, lumpy ground can easily be smoothed out at the beach to give you a comfy night’s sleep in your Adventure Kings Big Daddy Double Swag.

When you’ve picked your perfect spot, parked up the 4WD between you and the breeze, and rolled out your Adventure Kings awning to keep the sun off, spend a couple of minutes to smooth any lumps, dips or ruts with your foot. Once it’s flat, roll out your Kings mesh floor, then set up your Adventure Kings Big Daddy Double Swag.

To really sleep in the lap of luxury, you can swap the mattress that comes with your Adventure Kings Big Daddy Double Swag for an Adventure Kings Self Inflating Foam Mattress, and enjoy a better nights sleep than in your own bed at home.
If you’re using a single swag, you can also choose to set up on top of an Adventure Kings Sumo Stretcher, which will keep you up off the ground.

Now you’re all set up and ready to enjoy a great weekend of fun at the beach with your Adventure Kings Big Daddy Double Swag.
