IMPROVE YOUR CAMPING EXPERIENCES

January 21, 2022   |   By IMPROVE YOUR CAMPING EXPERIENCES - image aksw-bdd_01_img1_1 on https://news.emgcloud.net/news

Growing up camping was a huge part of my childhood, as a family we would spend most weekends set up camp next to some form of water. That’s because we were not only into camping but extremely into water skiing as well. Now as somewhat of an adult I still enjoy camping but now it’s with my good mates on the weekends. One of my favourites spots to go is double island. Over the years I’ve learnt a lot about wake makes a good camp setup. Through mostly mistakes and things gone wrong but hey that’s how you learn isn’t it. That’s why I’ve decided to right this article. My hope is for this article to be a small guide on how to improve your camping experience.

Now I love my meat and there’s nothing better than a huge camp dinner after a hard day off adventurous fun. However, I myself am in fact not a big breakfast eater. I’m not quite to the level of intermittent fasting but the thought of seven days at camp eating nothing but bacon & eggs for breakie is certainly not my cup of tea. For lunch then definitely or for a late breakfast brunch for sure. The trouble is though when camping I love getting up with the sunrise and getting stuck straight into a full day of fun. But I can’t do this on an empty stomach. At home I Instead, prefer a balanced breakie like a light energizing fruit and vegetable smoothie. That’s why I did some research and found myself a way to eat healthy at camp. I found a way to have the ability to bring my favourite home appliance, my trusty blender so this is such a huge plus for me. That’s why I wanted to write this article and share my finding like this so whatever they may be, you too can bring your beloved creature comforts from home to camp. So, all you need is a 115ah battery and a 1500w pure sine wave inverter this will allow you to power all types of items from the air fryer to crisp those sweet potatoes, an induction cook top to quickly poach an egg or your premium espresso machine so you can sip a hot caramel latte on the beach as the sunrises.

As well as my green smoothies, I also love green energy. I try to be as continuous as I can about my carbon footprint. I want these beautiful spots of nature I enjoy camping at to be there for my children and also their children. So, to complement my 115ah battery and a 1500w pure sine wave inverter and complete this energy pack I plug my portable solar blanket straight into a battery box. This allows me to top up my battery levels. And  harness the energy of the sun even if I’m parked in the shade, giving me enough power for all my cooking needs and more.

The ability to have unlimited power at camp is a necessity for me, because as a freelance editor and videographer sometimes I’m camping on the clock. So even when I’m camping in beautifully remote locations, I need the ability to top up my camera batteries, drones, gimbals and even my trusty laptop. So, if you’re a person that can work remotely then a portable solar blanket, 115ah battery and battery box plus a 1500w pure sine wave inverter is certainly a must have for you. Although maybe your just an average holiday camper but like me you want the ability to bring to camp your beloved creature comforts from home so in that case a power pack is also a great option for you.

I enjoy getting out there and being one with nature, most of the time I find the more remote my campsite is the more I love it.  But with modern technology improving camping gear so much these day there’s no reason not to have enjoy a comfy campsite. Now I’m certainly no glamper but I do love, any gear that can improve my camping experience because that’s a big a win in my books. That’s why to beat the hot Aussie sun I make sure my car has a side awning. As with just a few easy steps its quickly setup and providing cool shade. All that’s left for me to do then is kick my feet up, crack a beer and enjoy the cool breeze in my lovely campsite. Plus, the shelter and quick setup of an awning at hand ensures I’m never worried about bad weather at camp.

As well as camping remote another thing, I really do love about camping though is going barefoot, but I hate standing in prickles, the hot ground or even with shoes trekking sand, dirt and mud through my campsite. There is nothing worse then trying to sleep with sand in you swag. That’s why to avoid this I compliment my awning by chucking down a mesh floor so I can strut my stuff around my campsite, bare feet and carefree.

When it comes to sleeping whilst camping, I love during winter snuggling up in my swag in a premium sleeping bag, It is truly my favourite way to doze off. However, I live in Queensland so our winters are very short and sweet that’s why I choose a premium sleeping bag that has a removable inner. This gives me the ability to unzip and remove the thick inner insulation allowing me to also snooze cool through our hot summers. So, an awning, mesh floor and a premium sleeping bag are my three tips to a comfy campsite.

I hope the few helpful tips I’ve picked up about camping gear have allowed you some insight to improve your very own camping experience.
