How to Fit a Set of LED Driving Lights Without A Bullbar

July 20, 2021   |   By How to Fit a Set of LED Driving Lights Without A Bullbar - image 191204-NumberPlate-Lightbar-Resized-20-of-23 on https://news.emgcloud.net/news

If you haven’t had a chance to experience the difference a set of quality LED driving lights makes to your night driving experience, then you’re seriously missing out! There’s nothing like pulling onto a dark country road or highway at night, hitting your high beams and flooding the road ahead of you with incredibly bright light from your LED spotlights. However the tricky part about installing a set of 4×4 spotties is that you need somewhere to mount them! Traditionally that’s a bullbar, but what happens if you don’t have a bullbar and don’t want to spend upwards of $1500 fitting one just for the sake of having somewhere to mount your LED spotlights? We’ve got a couple of solutions available here at Adventure Kings to help with this issue.

  1. KINGS 15” NUMBERPLATE LED LIGHTBAR

Do a lot of night-time driving on country roads, but haven’t got a bullbar to mount a set of LED driving lights or a light bar? Then we have the solution – the Adventure Kings 15inch Numberplate LED Lightbar!

This ultra-bright, tough and modern LED lightbar comes with its own included heavy-duty bracket with slotted mounting holes to mount behind just about any numberplate using the numberplate mounting bracket. It’s a bright alternative to a full-sized set of LED driving lights.

Just unscrew your numberplate, fit up the mounting plate and replace the numberplate. In most cases you can re-use the same mounting hardware but in some instances longer ones may be required.

Then just fit the LED lightbar up to the bracket with the included stainless steel bolts and nuts, and it’s mounted!

The Adventure Kings 15” Numberplate LED Lightbar has been designed this way to do away with the need for a traditional bullbar as a way to mount a set of 4WD driving lights – potentially saving you thousands of dollars if you’re only fitting a bullbar for this reason!

With a lab-tested 1 lux @ 268m and 3835 lumens, you get a massive increase in light output over your vehicle’s high-beams, and the super-tough premium alloy housing and PMMA lens means it’s built strong to go the distance.

It runs on 12v or 24v, so it’s perfect for cars, utes, 4WDs, vans or even trucks and heavy machinery. And with a waterproof Deutsche connector, wiring it up is as easy as using one of the legendary and ultra-simple Adventure Kings wiring harnesses.

The lightbar measures in at 380mm wide by 45mm high by 58mm deep, and the 2mm-thick mounting plate comes in at 370mm wide by 75mm high. It’s also perfect for mounting to your rear numberplate for use as a reverse light!

With a one-year warranty and legendary Adventure Kings performance and quality, the Adventure Kings 15” Numberplate LED Lightbar is the night-driving lighting solution you’ve been waiting for – and if you can’t fit a set of LED driving lights, then this is the next best solution!

  1. MOUNTING DRIVING LIGHTS TO YOUR ALLOY PLATFORM ROOFRACK

Time to chuck out the tech screws and put the drill down because these Adventure Kings Platform Rack Light Brackets are set to change the way you mount LED driving lights to your aluminium platform roofrack forever!

Completely customisable with 16 orientation options to perfectly suit your setup and a whopping weight rating of 10kgs combined, these light brackets will take your vehicle’s lighting to a whole new level.

The slimline design allows you to mount a lightbar to your roof rack without increasing the overall height of your vehicle meaning you’ll still fit in your garage or shed! Or, use them to mount a set of LED spotlights to the top of the roofrack – they’ll handle it no worries.

These included spring nuts allow you to mount lights basically anywhere on your roofrack. Forward or rear facing or even of to the side for an incredible camp light setup.

They are super easy to install and come with everything you’ll need to chuck just about any lightbar or set of LED 4×4 driving lights or driving light onto your roofrack- including torx screws that’ll keep prying hands from knocking off your lights!

Compatible with a wide range of Aluminium platform racks, these new LED driving light brackets are a must have for anyone looking to add more lighting to the roof of their vehicle and they’re on sale right now for a price you won’t believe.

  1. STANDALONE LIGHTBAR BRACKET

If you’re dead set on running a set of LED driving lights on the front of your right but don’t have or want to fork out for a bullbar, then driving light brackets that mount to your numberplate do exist out there on the internet that suit. These aren’t the best option though as typically they don’t have the strength to stand up to the weight of a set of LED driving lights, which is why the option we offer here at Adventure Kings uses a 15” LED lightbar. Alternatively, if you’re somewhat handy with a welder and a grinder then it’s entirely possible to make your own heavy-duty bracket, but we highly suggest tieing it back into the structural support frame around the front of your vehicle instead of relying on your bumper bar for support. It’s not the easiest job but it’s certainly achievable if you don’t mind spending a bit of time, and with access to a few pieces of scrap metal and a welder you should be able to knock out a bracket that will allow you to fit a full sized set of LED driving lights that will be properly supported. Because the last thing you want is your new Kings LED spotlights falling off and getting lost!
