How LED Camp Lighting has you covered for any camp setup!

April 18, 2021   |   By Cahn Turner How LED Camp Lighting has you covered for any camp setup! - image on https://news.emgcloud.net/news

Adventure Kings has you covered for your camp lighting whether you’re after a head torch or a full-on customisable 5 bar camp light kit or anything in between. Camp lighting has always been so important, but with the rapid advances in LED technology it’s now even easier to get bright efficient lighting at camp! Not to mention with Adventure Kings it’s more affordable than ever, so read on to find out all the details of all the options that you can choose from to really take your setup to the next level!

First let’s start with the Adventure Kings head torch, mini lantern, work light and 2 in one light fan. These four are all powered by batteries and are handy to have around camp! Head torches are particularly useful as they keep your hands free for repairs or while you’re eating dinner. The mini lantern and work light both offer magnetic bases and hooks which mean you can set them up just about anywhere to provide light and the 2 in 1 light fan is great because not only can you light up your camp, or your tent or swag, but you can also provide a bit of breeze and airflow. You could use rechargeable batteries in all of these too – and combined with a 12V battery charge you could charge them up while you’re driving or from your dual battery setup and solar panel!

Next up let’s talk the larger camp lights, starting with the 1.3m LED strip light. This camping LED strip light is designed to fit into the sail track on an adventure kings awning and in fact, is almost identical to the strip light that comes with our deluxe camping awnings. The strip light comes in a kit with a cig socket, 5 metre cable, dimmer switch and a storage bag and packs up nice and small. The sheath it’s fitted in provides good water and dust protection with an IP65 rating. The led strip is made up of 72 individual LEDs and overall it pulls around 0.4 of an amp up to 1.1Amps. If you need even more light from the one strip, there’s the 4m Led strip light – this is a similar setup to the 1.3m strip, but rather than having a protective sheath, the 4m is protected entirely by its clear rubberised plastic coating. It comes with Velcro straps to help connect it to your camp site as well as a 3m cig socket cord and dimmer switch that all comes in a handy carry bag. The 4m led strip light is made up of 240 individual LEDs and uses up to around 2.5Amps on full brightness.

Following on from the strip lights we come to the LED light bar kits with both a 4 bar light camp light kit and 5 bar LED kit available. These are very similar, with the same light bars and connectors meaning you can set up camp exactly how you want it. The 5 bar camp light kit comes with one extra bar as well as extra connectors, switches and splitters for more versatility. Both come with a cig plug cable and Velcro straps to help mounting the lightbars or running cables neatly. The bars themselves  are just over 50cm long, have magnets recessed into them for mounting on steel or iron and are waterproof, just like the connections. There’s also an optional camp light extension kit available suitable for connecting to either the camp or 5 bar camp light kit that comes with two orange coloured led light bars, a 3 way splitter, a 3m extension cable, Velcro straps and its own bag. Orange lights are preferable when you’re camping and the bugs are out as it’s been proven that bugs are much less likely to hover around orange lights compared to white.

Last on the camp lights front let’s talk about the 3” worklights and 4” LED lightbars. While these can both be used as driving lights, rock lights or reverse lights, they’re also an excellent choice for permanently mounted camp lighting. Let’s start with the 4” light bars – these are sold in a pair and together they output 1866 lumens so they’ll very easily light up your campsite, and they only draw 1.74 amps as a pair so you can run them for night after night of camping without a worry! They’re IP68 dust and waterproof with a super tough alloy housing so you can rely on them, plus with an included fitting kit you can mount them just about anywhere.

Next are the 3” work lights, which come as a pair and put out a huge 2510 lumens – plenty of light for even the biggest camp set ups. They achieve this massive light output thanks to being fitted with genuine osram LEDs and are really a premium light with premium features. Combined they draw under 2 amps of power at 14.4Volts so they’re incredibly efficient. They’re housed in a super tough alloy housing, with an almost unbreakable polycarbonate lens. The housing features plenty of cooling fins to ensure longevity too. They’re dust and waterproof to IP68 rating and come with a complete mounting kit so you can position them basically anywhere on your setup. Whether you want to mount them to the sides of a roof rack, the back of your vehicle or even up front as auxiliary driving lights they’re a real winner! Both the 3” LED worklights and 4” lightbars are also fitted with deutsch plug connectors so they’re easy to wire up, particularly if you use an Adventure Kings plug n play harness!

Whatever lights you’re looking for you’ll find them in the huge range of Adventure Kings LED camp lighting!
