Camping Adventures

July 29, 2022   |   By 4WD Supacentre Camping Adventures - image THE-STRENGTH-DOESNT-STOP-THERE on https://news.emgcloud.net/news

As the sun rises over a cold winter’s morning, slowly heating the earth with each beam of light, A father Zac and his young 6-year-old boy Jack are warming their hands over the fire pit. Sitting back in their camp chairs sipping a steaming hot coffee and a hot chocolate from their travel mugs the two admire the beautiful view. Minus the chirps of a few birds and the soft howl of the wind it is peacefully silent. Zac sits there watching his son take in the beautiful views as he reminisces the days he’d do similar things with his own father.

After finishing their morning drinks, Zac whips up the two of them a nice bacon and egg breakie on the portable BBQ. With full bellies the boys decide to burn off some calories and go for a hike, they decide to head down a dark and deep forest trail so little Jack grabs a forest-made hiking stick taller than he in one hand and his father Zac clasped his other tiny hand.

The next day the dynamic duo, Zack and Jack decide to move onto a new campsite and continue their journey. So, the boys pack up their campsite, in a matter of seconds their 270° Free-Standing Awning is packed away, the grimy compact BBQ from this morning cook up is not a worry because Zac throws it straight into a durable canvas storage bag. Little Jack is proud as punch as he packs up the two camping chairs placing them straight into the rear storage drawers in the back of dads truck.

Zac decides to head to his favorite waterhole his own father used to take him as a kid. Before they left Zac had the smart idea to through two meat pies straight into the travel oven. So once the two finished setting up they had two hot pies ready to be taken out of the portable oven to soon be quickly devoured by the two hungry hikers.

After finishing their lunch, Jack convinces his dad Zac to go for a ride on their Stand Up Paddle Board, so after a few moments of pumping away with the triple action pump, the boy’s inflatable SUP is sitting at 15psi ready to go. Still too young to paddle the adult Stand Up Paddle Board on his own, little Jack stands at the front of his Dad’s Inflatable Stand-Up Paddleboard resembling Jack from titanic.
Dad splashes little Jack from behind and a battle to push Dad off the paddle board quickly ensues.
After Jack struggles for ages trying to push his Dad Zac in the water, Zac actually trips causing the both of them to go hurling into the river.

The next day the battle continues, however this time it’s kayak race time!
To give little Jack a fighting chance a serious handicap was arranged so Dad sits 100m back down the river in his sit on kayak whilst little Jack almost at the finishing line eagerly awaits for the race to begin. On your marks get set go, Dad screams from down the river, both paddling with all their might, it’s about to come down to a nail-biting finish. By the smallest of margins, little Jack manages to touch the agreed tree stump marked as the finish line. Little Jack is so excited he leaps out of his kayak into the water. It was at that moment Zac knew he was never going to live this down.

Little Jack and his father Zac, spend countless hours on adventures together. The father and son bond between those two was thicker than thieves.

At the age of 10, the two were on the beautiful beaches of Double Island, when Jack’s Dad helped him reel in his very first fish using the brand new travel rod and reel he got for his birthday. It was in fact none other than a whopping big flat head, and you can be sure those to cooked it up on their stainless-steel fire pit grill that night.

In little Jack’s teenage years, he started to become not so little, in fact at the age of 14 jack finally beat his Dad in a kayak race, fair and square no head start and no secretly backing off by Dad. This is when Dad, Zac, really started to feel his age.

But it was not too long after that Dad, realized his little boy still had plenty of time to grow. At the age of 16, after getting his learning license Dad took teenage Jack out to the Glass House Mountains for his first ever offroad drive behind the wheel. The first bog whole into the trip, the two were suddenly grateful they had a powerful recovery winch bolted to the front of the Dmax.
After a hard Day’s work, smashing trails and recovery vehicles the two were also incredibly glad they remembered to pack their portable gas hot water system, so they could have a nice hot shower to wash off the mud before settling down at camp. After years of pestering his Dad, tonight was final the night. Zac finally decided to let young Jack use the axe and folding saw to chop the wood and build a fire.

Years and years of all sorts of adventure went by, after a magnitude of father and son moments, Down a deep forest trail, Will now a full-grown man is still going hiking with his elderly father.
His father has a walking stick nearly taller than he in one hand and is clasping his son’s hand with the other. With bounds of patience, Will listens to his fragile father’s rambler as the two gradually hike on.

As the sun rises over a cold winter’s morning, slowly heating the earth with each beam of light, with his father nowhere to be seen we see adult Will warming his hands over the fire. Will sits back into his camp chair sitting next to his very own 6-year-old boy. Will can’t help but think of all the good times he had with his own father, as he and his own son, sit in their camping chairs sipping a steaming hot coffee and hot chocolate out of their portable mugs as the two admire the beautiful view.
