Camera Drones for Camping

June 29, 2022   |   By 4WD Supacentre Camera Drones for Camping - image on https://news.emgcloud.net/news

Growing up did you ever have an inkling that you may want to become a pilot, but nothing ever
came of it? Maybe you spent too much time skipping lessons to get high enough grades in school or
maybe flying just wasn’t for you in the end, as you found out by gripping the seats with sweaty
palms on your first adventure into the clouds… well there is still something that you could take part
in that would give you a little perspective of things from up in the air, and not even have to leave the
ground for yourself, and no I’m not talking about a flight simulation game on the computer either.
Real flying, and real vision from up in the skies, with endless opportunities to take in the landscapes,
sunsets, or even some events from a different angle. If you’ve come this far you must be some way
interested in how this is possible, read on!
A craze that many people have been involved in over the last 5 to 10 years is flying a drone for the
purpose of photography and videography and capturing the landscapes from a bird’s eye view while
also enjoying taking flight with their own little device taking to the skies with ease. RC Drones have
become a common household item and for everyone not just the kids so there are options out there
for everyone including adults to jump on board and take flight with a small airborne craft to enjoy
the atmosphere from afar while taking some great pictures or videos along the way. Now with so
many options available on the market it is hard to find something that is right for you and your
desired applications but nevertheless there is definitely something for everyone.
Used by hobby photographers originally to take some amazing snaps in a different array of light and
backdrops, it didn’t take long for other professions to jump on board with the craze of filming from a
moving object high up in the sky with an endless ability to capture special moments or large
landscapes. From real estate agents to sporting broadcasters and everyone in between, so many
industries have found ways to incorporate a camera drone or two into their mix and make things even more
exciting for their viewers. Real estate agents have begun to capture shots of their properties or land
that is for sale, and show off features on housing such as pools, overall yard space and of course
rooftop items such as solar panels, which they may not have previously got a decent picture of from
the ground. Sporting broadcasters have used flying drones in filming large events, following the line of a
ball or simply to get action shots across a whole field of play with absolute ease, and with one pilot
kicking back and controlling it all from a screen right in front of them, sometimes as simple as a
smart phone or tablet to do the viewing. With all of this happening and the world moving forward it
is now hard to imagine viewing some types of sports now without some sort of drone footage from
crazy angles.
Another great use for drones when out adventuring could be to scope out landscapes as you’re
heading towards them in your four-wheel-drive or get a head start on your convoy by checking out
any upcoming areas or planning out a safe travelling route before getting behind the wheel, while
you’re up there I’m sure you’ll find some worthy photo opportunities which you’ll be able to show
off to your mates as well. Keep an eye on your crab pots, or check where the schools of fish are
biting with a hover drone and stay one step ahead of your fishing mates by knowing exactly where to
target by taking advantage of your bird’s eye views, if you’re clever enough you may even be able to
rig up a system to use to drop some bait or burley into the water in advance to get the fish biting. No
matter what cause you’re off the beaten track for, a filming drone can value add to your adventure time in
the outback and will be sure to create some solid talking points when you download the cool shots
and share them on your socials.
It must be noted however that with anything cool and new, eventually comes regulations and laws,
and each state and territory may have differing laws surrounding the use of airborne crafts such as
drones carrying photographing technology. This is put in place to uphold the security, integrity and
privacy of home owners, high security areas and even sporting events, of which you may have
restrictions on where and how you can use your drone in close proximity to any of the

aforementioned. With this in mind it is always best to check in advance on what restrictions you may
have to adhere to before taking flight with your very own flying camera! Specific airspaces,
governments zones and schools are among some of the heavily regulated and restricted areas and
large fines can be imposed if you’re doing the wrong thing with your aircraft. If you wish to learn
more there are plenty of online resources available and also plenty of businesses offering flight
training and even drone licencing to teach you the ins and outs and ensure you operate safely and
within any given guidelines.
Adhering to training, guidelines and safety precautions will ensure you keep yourself and others
safe, as well as conduct yourself in a manner that will not land you in hot water. Always be mindful
of others but be sure to enjoy the great outdoors with one of the many drones available online or in
store, and you will certainly see things in a different light and from a different angle. As well as many
different levels of quality camera attachments, you will find a plethora of accessories and add-ons
for your aircraft to keep you, and the kids entertained for hours on end.
