So, to make it super easy and super affordable we have put together a range of complete energy packs that have everything you need to get started. With these you can run your camping fridge, camp lighting, charge your ipad or laptop and even run a coffee machine or hairdryer wherever you are!

Whether you want a portable power setup that you can take in and out of your car or if you want all the important components of a permanent setup in your vehicle this is what you need!

Having power on tap wherever you are all starts with a battery – this stores all the power you’ll need for your next weekend away. Adventure Kings Batteries give you power on tap, even when your vehicle isn’t running. Plus, they have two really important features- Number one is that they’re an AGM battery, which means they’re sealed and safe to carry and use inside your vehicle – they won’t leak or release any gasses during normal use. AGM batteries also offer excellent power storage and power output.

And number two is that they’re a deep cycle battery which means they’re designed to constantly output power to run your fridge and camping gear hour after hour and day after day – not like your starting battery that is used once for a second or two and then is charged right back up by your car alternator!

These complete energy packs offer you the choice of a 98Ah, 115Ah or 138Ah Battery. If you’re unsure what size you need, we recommend the 115Ah, it has large power capacity while still being a common battery size. Otherwise drop into your local 4WD Supacentre store and ask our friendly staff!

If your battery stores all the power you’ll need for a weekend away, then combining it with a battery box makes it super easy to access and use all your power! In your complete energy pack you’ll either get a Battery Box for your 98 or 115Ah battery, or you’ll get a MAXI battery box for your 138Ah battery – they have the same features, the MAXI is just bigger to fit the larger size battery!

So, you simply put your battery into a battery box, connect up the wiring to the bolts on your battery terminals, tighten them up with a 13mm spanner, then strap the lid down and you get power connections and plugs galore!

First you’ve got a LCD screen with a button so you can check your battery voltage at a glance – about 13V is full and down around 12.3V is 50%. You’ve got 2 USB ports on the back so you can charge your devices – plus there’s a 12V socket so you can easily run a camping fridge all weekend! These are all connected to an easily resettable circuit breaker for safety!

There are also screw terminals on the front here, with a direct connection to the battery terminals and finally there are these quick connect anderson-compatible plugs up top which work as both power in or power out! So you can run a fridge or plug in a solar panel to keep your battery charged up so you can stay at camp even longer!

Speaking of solar, the complete energy packs give you the choice of a folding solar panel, or a folding solar blanket. These will both plug right into your battery box and charge up your battery with free power from the sun!

Because they’re a full kit, they each come with all the wiring you need as well as a solar regulator / controller – these work as the “charger” part of the circuit, taking the power from the solar panel and adjusting it to best charge your battery.

If your battery is empty, it allows lots of power and as it gets closer to full, the solar regulator will lower the amount of charging power to protect your battery! This means you can leave your solar on all day every day and it’ll keep your battery properly charged and topped up – which is exactly what an AGM battery wants for a long life!

The 250W folding panels are a bit bigger, but they make it easier to catch the sun as they have built in legs and you can angle them easily – they provide up to 13.74 amps of charge in ideal conditions – that means you can recharge a 98Ah deep cycle battery from half full to full in about 4-6 hours

Solar Blankets pack up smaller, but you need to position them somewhere they’ll get the most sun! A great spot is your windscreen, which angles the panel and shades your car interior. The 200W blanket uses a modern MPPT regulator and can provide up to 16.3 amps of charge in ideal conditions – that means you can recharge that same battery in about 3-5 hours.

The complete energy pack also comes with an extra 10m solar extension lead, which means you can park in the shade, and still set up your solar in direct sun! This way you stay cool and let the solar do all the hard work!

When you’re using your battery and battery box it’s always a good idea to use your solar as it’ll extend the time you can go camping, by keeping the battery topped up, plus it’ll extend the life of your battery!

Finally, there’s the ADVENTURE KINGS 1500 watt inverter – this takes your 12V battery power in and then puts out smooth reliable 240V power just like your power points at home! Because it’s a pure sine wave inverter it’s safe to use to run and charge sensitive electronics like laptops and tools, wherever you are!

Being a 1500W inverter, means it’ll power appliances and tools up to 1500W in power – to give you some ideas – that means you can charge your laptop and your drone while you’re travelling, or you can charge or run power tools for those DIY projects, or you could even run a coffee machine or microwave!

Connecting your inverter to your battery or battery box is simple too! It comes with wiring suitable for a portable use setup, but if you’re going into install this permanently, we recommend adding a fuse for protection. You can either fit it up to the outside screw terminals, which will allow you to easily charge and power day to day devices and appliances, or you can directly connect to the battery terminals, run the cables out these handy openings in the battery box and run your heavy duty appliances like coffee machines, tools and microwaves.
