Installing your new Adventure Kings Tourer Roof Top Tent is easy!  You’ll only need some basic hand tools and a mate to help you lift it up!

The Tourer comes with a full fitting kit including nuts, bolts, washers, brackets and mounts. Plus you’ll get two spanners inside to fit it all together. So your first step is pull the Tourer out of the box, double check you’ve got all the correct parts and then you can begin!

Inside the packaging you’ll also find a comprehensive set of instructions that show you how to mount your new Tourer Roof Top Tent on your vehicle, whether you want to fit it off the side or the back.

Once you’ve decided which way you’ll mount your Tourer, you’ll need to fit the alloy rails to the base of the tent and fasten them on. (If you’re mounting your Tourer off the back of your vehicle you’ll need to trim these to fit.)

Once the rails are tight you can fit the ladder mounts – keep an eye on these and remember which side of the tent they’re on, then you can fit the PVC cover by sliding it into the sail track and then zipping it up. Then you’re ready to lift the Tourer onto your vehicle – have a mate help you as they are too big to lift on your own. Make sure that Tourer is positioned correctly so that it will fold out the way you want – the ladder mounts should be opposite where you want the tent to fold out – if they are, you’re ready to fit your mounts and tighten down your roof top tent onto your roof rack.

To fit the mounts first put a bolt on each of the alloy mounts, lift the Tourer one side at a time and slide four mounts into the track. As you lower the tent down, ensure two of these mounts are positioned toward the front of the tent and either side of a structural tube of your roofrack. The other two mounts should be towards the back of the Roof Top Tent Tourer and again positioned either side of a structural tube.

Repeat the process on the other side of your vehicle – making sure all four mounts are positioned correctly. Once you’re happy with the positions of the mounts you can fit the steel plates underneath the roof rack and tighten it on with the included nylon locking nuts. Tighten each nut then double check them to ensure they’re tight after your first drive and after a week, in case the tent has vibrated them slightly loose.

Finally, you can fold the PVC cover off the Tourer and then fit the ladder. Use the included bolts, spacers and nylon locking nuts to fix the ladder to the mounts. Make sure it’s positioned with the plastic locking tabs facing upwards so you can access them when necessary to extend the ladder.
