Portable Camping Rotisserie:

I know I said these 5 favourite bits of camp cooking gear was in no particular order, but if im being 100% honest and I had to choose one single bit of gear for cooking at camp, it would hands down have to be the Kings Camping Rotisserie. I have personally cooked 2 legs of lamb, a pork roast and a roast beef (all of which took at least 2 and a half hours each) and my batteries are still going strong. That’s 4x the weight of a regular sized lamb shoulder you’d by from your butcher!

Spun Steel Camp Oven:

Another bit of camp cooking gear that pretty much lives in the back of my 4wd and never comes out, except to be used for cooking up a feast at camp is my Bedourie Camp Oven. The Bedourie Camp Oven can literally last you a lifetime if you look after them correctly. I have had mine for well over 5 years now and I wouldn’t even be able to tell you how many meals I’ve cooked in it- from curried sausages, apricot chicken, roasts, reverse seared steaks and a multitude of other delicious camp recipes.

Another amazing Spun Steel Camp Oven we offer here at Adventure Kings is the legendary Aussie Camp Oven. These are awesome bits of gear because they give you the ability to cook up a huge amount of mouth-watering camp food to just about feed an entire army! I’ve used mine to cook up 4 racks of pork ribs low and slow. You can even use the lid as a completely separate frying pan to brown meat, seal off a roast or fry up some onions.

Cleaning your spun steel camp oven is an absolute breeze too! All you need to do is give it a good wash out with some warm water, dry it out then apply a thin layer of oil over the entire camp oven (inside and out) with a paper towel- that’s it!

Measuring in at 470mm long and 350mm wide, it’s the perfect sized campfire grill for just about any red blooded camper. I use my vacuum sealer after every single hunting trip to prepare my game meat for the freezer. I sometimes throw a bit of seasoning on top of the meat and let it marinade in the fridge before throwing it in the freezer and the results are simply mouth watering.
