The Ultimate Titan Drawers Strength Torture Test

July 21, 2021   |   By The Ultimate Titan Drawers Strength Torture Test - image 210713-Titan-Drawers-Pavers-and-Engine-Block-Stunt-Resized-54-of-55 on https://news.emgcloud.net/news

Titan rear storage drawers are incredibly tough, thanks to the strong galvanised steel frame construction and smooth roller bearings used throughout. To prove how strong they are, we’ve put them through the ultimate torture test!

First, let’s prove how strong they are by extending each rear drawer out as far as it goes, and filling each with pavers. The pavers we’re using weigh 4kg kilos each, and we’ve filled both of these Titan 1300mm Ute Storage Drawers as much as we can! We were able to 160kg worth in the right hand drawer and 112kg in the left hand drawer – and even loaded to the absolute brim, they slide in and out as smooth as when they were empty, thanks to the sealed roller bearings!

Okay, let’s take it to the next level. Let’s load up the rear drawers even further! We’ve gotten ahold of an old 3.5L V6 Mitsubishi motor. It’s missing a few of the bolt on bits and pieces like the alternator, power steer pump, air con pump etc – but even still this thing weighs over 150kg. Look, we definitely don’t recommend trying this on any old set of rear 4×4 drawers – but check that out – there’s no special effects or gimmicks here – just a seriously strong set of Titan storage drawers taking the weight no worries – and they still slide smooth as new afterwards!

There’s no doubt in my mind – these are incredibly strong rear storage drawers that will go the distance. Forget trying to build your own drawers, and forget pay $1000+ for a set of rear drawers – because Titan rear drawers are the platinum standard in incredibly strong, amazing value for money vehicle storage – especially when you see in the incredible price they’re on sale for today!

You know, I reckon I have the best job in the world. I get to travel every bit of the country looking for the best campsites and 4WD tracks every single month of the year.

I’m not sure my 4WD and camping gear would agree with me though! Because I’m out bush so often, I work my gear harder than just about anyone. And that’s especially so with my Titan rear storage drawers. These things have been torture-tested from Cape York to the Simmo Desert to Tassie, and they keep working day after day, trip after trip!

Titan drawers – torture-tested tough to withstand anything just about anything you can throw at them.

But tough is only one thing that makes Titan storage drawers so good. The other is the incredible value for money you get when you buy them from Adventure Kings! To prove a point, we decided to compare two sets of ute drawers that are extremely similar in size and quality. The only difference is that one setup sells for less than $500 – that’s the Titan 1300mm Twin Ute Drawers, while a similar setup with the other drawers will cost you over $2000.

Mounted in the back of my ute is a set of the Titan 1300mm ute drawers with DIY wing kit. They’re made from gal sheet steel, with marine carpet, heavy-duty roller bearings throughout, locks on both drawers and an inbuilt fridge slide.

The rear drawers we’re comparing them to are the very similar 1300mm ute drawers. We purchased them for $1400. We were quoted an additional $325 for a wing kit, and a further $345 for a 60L fridge slide, which brings the total to $2,070. Like the Titan Rear Drawers, they’re also made from gal sheet steel, with marine carpet, heavy-duty roller bearings throughout, and locks on both drawers.

The only difference between the two, is the competitor’s wing kit comes pre-cut to suit the particular application, while the Titan wing kit is a DIY fit that’ll take you a couple of hours to install. Apart from that – they’re basically identical.  We’ve proven time and time again how tough the Titan drawers are, and we’ve got no doubt the other rear 4WD drawers, being extremely similar in construction, are just as well-built.

So it comes down to one simple question then.  If the only difference between the two sets of rear 4×4 drawers is whether the wing kit is pre-cut to suit or DIY, is a couple of hours of your time worth saving $1,500? I know what my answer would be…

A canopy on the back of your ute is the perfect way to start upgrading your vehicle and turning it into an adventure machine. They provide so much secure, usable space to store all your camping gear when you’re out bush.

Now you can completely deck your ute tub out for camping, all with gear from Adventure Kings.

Mount a set of the Titan 1300mm twin ute drawers in the back to store your tucker, your tools and recovery gear, and make use of the rear drawers massive inbuilt fridge slide as a way of easily carrying and accessing one of the new Adventure Kings fridges.

You can then take it to the next level with a huge range of 12v and solar gear from Adventure Kings, to let you stay out bush at your favourite campsite for longer.

More Aussie campers, tradies and tourers use and trust Titan rear drawers than any other brand. You’ll see them in countless vehicles right across the country, in all sorts of storage configurations. And when you see how tough they are, combined with the incredible prices they’re on sale for today, you’ll agree that these are Australia’s best value rear storage drawers. You’re going to love your Titan rear drawers  – they transform just about any vehicle and make your storage setup amazing – so much so that you’ll wonder how you ever lived without them!
