MAKE YOUR NEXT CAMP MEAL BETTER THAN EVER WITH THESE 4 HOT TIPS!

Camp cooking doesn’t have to be the same boring old meals every time you go away – with the range of Adventure Kings Camp Cooking gear you can turn ordinary camping meals into extraordinary camp meals! Whether it’s a quick trackside lunch of minute steak sandwiches on the voyager portable bbq or a delicious slow cooked flame-grilled camp roast on a real rotisserie, with Adventure Kings cooking gear you’ll be a camping master chef in no time! Read on for some of our favourite recipe ideas that you can easily cook at camp!

The Adventure Kings Campfire BBQ plate is a classic bit of cooking gear – it simply unfolds and lays out across the fire for a super quick and easy cooking surface that allows you to make a huge range of delicious meals, from the humble plate of sausages right up to some fancy multilayered dishes! One excellent way to save on mess and make a delicious breakfast

is to slice a capsicum into rings and use the slices as egg rings. Simply place the egg rings on the bbq plate and then crack an egg into each one – no mess, no tough cleaning jobs, just delicious finger food for everyone! That’s not all a camping BBQ plate is good for though – one of of our favourite ever creations is to dice up your favourite meat and fry it off on the bbq plate, at the same time slice up your favourite salad veggies – once everything is cooked, sprinkle the meat, salad and some cheese onto a wrap and roll it all up then wrap not in foil. Place it back on the BBQ plate, then the trick here is to use another Adventure Kings Campfire BBQ plate upside on top of the first and cover it with hot coals – you’re essentially turning your BBQ plates into a sandwich press so you can make campfire kebabs!

For a quick cook up it’s hard to beat the voyager portable BBQ – it’s a compact and powerful little camping bbq that will let you make all your favourite comfort foods while camping, or give you the surface you need to cook up a storm! Sure you can cook up the usual snags and steaks, on the hot plate and grille – but thanks to the roasting hood and temperature gauge on top of the voyager camp BBQ you can also cook a full roast! The tip here is to use a foil tray to rest the roast, your favourite veggies and your liquid stock inside to keep everything together, then you can set the voyager bbq to a low heat using the adjustable gas flame dial and slow cook the perfect roast – rotate the meat every hour or so to allow even heat across the entire roast and use a basting brush to keep it hydrated too!

Next up for a real camp fire roast you can’t beat the Adventure Kings camping rotisserie – this is a clever bit of gear that uses a small motor to keep your roast gently rotating over the flames for hours and hours! There are no giant components that make it up, so this camping rotisserie packs up nice and compact and will easily fit in any vehicle. In fact it’s a smart design because rather than being built out of a drum or with a large base section that requires a fire built into it, the Kings camping rotisserie is designed to be set into the ground, over a campfire. The height is adjustable so you can cook with more or less heat and it even comes with an adjustable counterbalance weight so you can ensure your roast spins smoothly even when it’s not a uniform shape. One of our favourite ways to use the Kings Camp fire rotisserie is with two different roasts at the same time! There’s nothing better than giving everyone options for dinner and with the kings rotisserie you’ve got the space and weight rating to hold two or even three different cuts. No one can say now to roast beef and pulled pork at the same time! That is the basis for some unbelievable campfire tacos!

Finally there’s the Aussie camp oven and Bedourie range of spun steel camp ovens. Camp oven cooking is a favourite anytime we go away for a camp and these spun steel camp ovens have some really clever features that make using them even easier and more practical. First you can actually use the lid as a separate fry pan, which means you don’t need to carry two different cooking pans if you’ve got the one Bedourie camp oven! Oner of our favourite meals to cook in a camp oven in ‘beer can chook’ this is a modern classic where you actually open a can of beer and then stand it upright, inside a whole chook! This all goes in your camp oven and slowly roasts for a good couple of hours. The benefit here is you’re able to keep the chook up off the base of the camp oven, so it’s not cooking by direct heat, but also the most important part is that the beer can slowly evaporates up into the chook – not only keeping it from drying out, but also adding a delicious flavour that everyone will absolutely love!

Whether you’re new to camp cooking or a seasoned pro, you’ll find everything you need in the range of Adventure Kings Camp Cooking gear – there’s everything from BBQ tools and picnic sets right through to compact folding fire pits and gas powered camp bbq. At Adventure Kings your can get everything you need to cook up a storm where ever you are… even the collapsible camping sink!
