4WD Supacentre is a DIYers Dream!

December 16, 2020   |   By 4WD Supacentre is a DIYers Dream! - image 201211-Port-Macquarie-Beach-Shoot-Resized-103-of-219 on https://news.emgcloud.net/news

With a mountain of gear, you can setup your campsite/4WD rig with, there really is no stopping at just a simple campsite setup, particularly when you can get yours for such an affordable price.

LED Driving Lights

The first upgrade to any serious 4WD is usually some auxiliary driving lights, such as the ones found in the Adventure Kings range, with everything from a budget conscious but still practical pair of 7” LED Driving Light all the way up to a pair of incredibly bright 8.5” laser Driving lights which can reach out to an impressive range of 1972m for 1 lux!

Whichever pair of LED Driving lights you choose from, DIY installation is a breeze with an Adventure Kings Plug and Play wiring harness. This kit includes EVERYTHING you need to install a set of lights on the front of your vehicle, including a headlight ‘piggyback’ adapter, an on off toggle switch and a 12v and a 24v relay for installation on regular 4WD’s and cars as well as heavy duty diesel applications.

The plug and play harness is truly plug and play with its incredible internal circuitry it cleverly switches modes from “negatively switched” or “standard wiring” which means no matter what vehicle you are chucking it in, all you need to do is plug it in and play.

12v Setup

This is one of the most fun parts of setting up any 4WD rig, a 12v setup offers you the ability to get of grid with no strings attached, being completely off grid and self-sufficient, but just like many upgrades and mods on your 4WDm the addition of a 12v System can be done a million different ways.

In our opinion the best way to rig up your 12v system is to setup a DC-DC charger, and an AGM deep cycle battery to make sure you can always turn your engine over when you need to. Running a DC-DC charger through a neat box like the Adventure Kings 12V Control Box will keep your wiring neat and tidy, and make sure you can easily diagnose, modify, and upgrade your 12v system as your needs evolve and change.

A 12v setup is a lot of fun to put together and with the right precautions taken and careful planning, there is no stress when you are setting up camp, you can sit back relax and let the system do all the work.

UHF Radio

Keeping in touch with your mates on the tracks is easily one of the funnest parts of 4WDing, keeping up the banter and being able to navigate as a convoy becomes a piece of cake.

One of the most incredible benefits of fitting a UHF radio to your 4WD is the ability to call for help when you are stuck. With a standard 5w UHF radio fitted with a 6dBi antenna being able to reach a whopping 20Km+ under ideal conditions.

The Oricom UHF antenna is designed to be a simple and easy install even for complete novices, with no soldering required and in line fuses, for a simple plug in and go setup and all the latest features, including DUPLEX, DCS, scan, and an included 6.5dBi antenna, there is no reason to grab any other unit.

Rear Drawers

The penultimate vehicle organization solution, a set of drawers has been on the list for 4WDers for many reasons, but the simplicity of chucking your gear inside a secure storage area, without needing flimsy plastic crates, is enough to make the mouth water.

Titan Rear Drawers have taken the cake when it comes to setting up storage in the rear of a vehicle, simple installation involves simply bolting them down to pre-existing cargo tie down points and you are ready to roll.

With a range of sizes and options Titan Drawers are simply one of the best bang for buck drawer systems on the market!

Winches

Every hardcore 4WDer knows that a reliable winch is your best mate on the tracks, with a mountain of pulling force. You’d be mad to head out 4WDing on your own without one, whilst handy you don’t always need to use one, but you’ll be thankful you bought it when you do need it.

This is why the Domin8r winch range has taken over Oz as one of our favourite winch systems, not only affordable and feature packed it sits in the highest pull strength categories of most winches available on the market, being rated to pull a mind boggling 12,000lbs of pulling force on a single line pull, that equates to roughly 5.44 tons and is more than enough to get most people out of trouble.

Winch installation is as simple as fastening 4 bolts to snug the unit down, and then wiring it in, nothing more to it, which is why more aussie are sporting Domin8r X and Domin8r Xtreme winches on the front of their bullbar when they head bush!
