There is literally nothing more disappointing to a thirsty camper than drinking a warm beer after a hot and hard day at camp, so we’ve put together a list of ways to keep your beers the coldest out of all your mates when you hit the tracks this  camping season!

We have some awesome secrets that you can take advantage of, to not only increase the speed at which you chill your beers down, but also get the most out of your 12v camping Fridge Freezer!

Firstly we need to understand how any compressor fridge works, by understanding this, we can figure out the easiest and best way to chill our favorite drinks down to perfect consumption temperature – When your fridge is plugged in and operating no matter what temperature you set it to, the compressor will only chill the internal storage space as fast as it possibly can until it reaches the temperature you have set, this means when the compressor is running it is operating at 100% effort to ensure it can chill and stay cold on the tracks!

This means you can’t trick your fridge and speed things up by setting your temperature settings down to -18°C in an attempt to fool your beers and chill them out at an accelerated rate, not only will you have to wait just as long as you would if it was set to a more moderate temperature, you also run the very real risk of forgetting to re-adjust your fridges temperature with the result being a freezer full of exploded and undrinkable beers.

With this in mind, you’re probably going to have to find a faster way to chill your beers down from warm.

The first thing is first, you will need to prepare your beer cans or bottles ready to chuck into the fridge/freezer to chill down, it takes only a couple of seconds to prepare and will revolutionize the way you think about grabbing a refreshing beer from your fridge when you forgot to prechill them or there were none left in the cool room on your Friday night supply run before hitting camp!  

Take one or more of your favorite frothy beverages, make sure you grab one for your better half or you might find yourself in big trouble!

Now grab a roll of regular old paper towel (or unused toilet paper in a pinch) and take enough paper to wrap around the can or bottle once or twice without being ridiculous, if you use too much paper this trick won’t work. Now dampen your paper towel until it is just wet enough to stick to your warm can or bottle of beer and wrap it around the drink leaving the bottom surface of the container uncovered as best as you can, this will prevent it from sticking to the inside of your Adventure Kings Fridge Freezer and creating excess internal icing!
