Installation is tailor suited with 2 main categories, firstly the gutter mounted variety, these utilize the older fashioned rain channels usually found running the length of a vehicle, from the windshield to the back of the vehicle. These rain channels are a structural element of the vehicle and allow gutter mounted roof racks to hold a considerable amount of weight.
